Health
Lodha Samaj Indore intends to make help available to the members of its community, when needed, through medical facilities and a blood bank.
What the Community Wishes to Do
- Help with medical facilities
- Help through a blood bank when needed
Whom to Call in an Emergency
All four are free and answer day and night. Save them in your phone now — there is no time to look for a number when it is needed.
The Ayushman Card
Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme an eligible family gets treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh a year, free, at government hospitals and at listed private ones. It is a scheme of the Union government, not of Lodha Samaj; eligibility comes from the government's own list.
- Whether your name is on that list can be checked with a mobile number on the Ayushman beneficiary portal or in the Ayushman app
- The card is made at a Lok Seva Kendra (CSC), or at the Ayushman help desk of a government hospital
- Carry Aadhaar, a Samagra or ration card, and the phone that will receive the OTP
- Helpline 14555
Get the card made beforehand. Making it on the day of admission takes time, and that is the time that costs the most.
If You Need Blood, or Wish to Give It
Which blood bank holds which group, and when the next donation camp is, can be seen district by district on the government's e-RaktKosh portal. The blood bank's phone number is there too.
Blood can usually be given between the ages of 18 and 65, at a weight above about 45 kg, and three months after the last time. The blood bank makes the final check — it is worth asking once.
The community's intention is to help through a blood bank. Those willing to donate can leave their name, blood group and phone number with the समाज through the contact page or the register, so that the right person can be called at the right time.
Medicines and Your Health Record
- Jan Aushadhi Kendra — the same medicines, by their generic names, at lower prices. The portal finds the nearest centre. Show the doctor's prescription and ask whether the generic is available
- An ABHA number — a digital health account that keeps prescriptions and test reports together, so old papers need not be hunted for at the next hospital
An Invitation to Capable Community Members
Capable and well-placed Lodhi brothers who wish to offer such service work through Lodha Samaj are warmly invited. Please speak to us on the phone number above or through the contact page.
Those in the community who are doctors, nurses, pharmacists or work in hospitals can send a family to the right place with one phone call. And a list of willing blood donors, held by the समाज, is exactly the blood-bank intention written above.
